A faculty member in the Department of Information Studies (DISt), College of Social Sciences, Kuwait University. Former Founding Chair- person and Former Founding Director of the Graduate Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS Program). Worked as a coordinator for the monthly Book Project Children, a project undertaken by the Kuwait Society for the Advancement of Arab Children (KSAAC) for several years. Was a Consultant for the ministry of Education'd Library affairs for several years. Former President for the Special Library Association (SLA)/ Arabian Gulf Chapter. A former board member for the Bayan Bilingual School (BBS). Published widely in both Arabic and English languages. Research and education interests focus on issues related to Education for Information in developing countries, School Learning Resource Centers (LRC), Internet& Social Media platforms and effects on the information professions in addition to the issue of Ethics in modern Education and Technology.
