About
My interest in ethics in computing has resulted in a number of impactful articles. Some of the articles in the area of ethics in computing, such as those on cultural imperialism, trust and privacy, I addressed using a philosophical analysis. Other articles in this area, especially those on professionalism in the Australian ICT workplace, I addressed using ethical analysis techniques. I am also interested in professionalism in the Australian ICT workplace. I have published more than 30 articles, as first author, in this area focussing on a range of issues, e.g. bullying, incompetence, reasons for unprofessional behaviour, harassment of women in ICT and mismatch between ICT qualifications and awareness of ethical issues. My current research interest is in the ethics of phubbing.
